Chiajna – Dinamo Buc

Aljosa Vojnovic Dinamo captain

The last match of the Romanian Liga 1 12th round will see Concordia Chiajna host Dinamo Bucharest. But “host” might not be the best word, as Chiajna is a village near Bucharest and Dinamo will be more supoorted, pretty much feeling at home – except for the artificial pitch.

Chiajna is set for another season of fighting against relegation and the home side is already involved in the dogfight, sitting on the 11th place (out of 14). Concordia recently appointed Cornel Talnar at coach, a former Dinamo player and manager and the team did seem to improve a tiny bit in the 4 matches under his command – but unfortunately for Chiajna, it only happened in the domestic Cups. In Liga 1 Chiajna is coming after a 1-3 loss to Steaua, having previously been held to a 0-0 home draw by relegation rivals Botosani.

Great news midweek for Dinamo, as the team qualified further in the Romanian Cup and most importantly managed to exit an insolvency state after 2 years – which means they could play in Europe in 2016, or at least in 2017 and of course a better financial state. A huge morale boost for the entire club, including the players.

Dinamo is playing pretty well under Mircea Rednic this season, gaining 4 wins, 6 draws and a single loss (a very unlucky one) and is set to climb on the 4th place with a win today. The visitors are on the back of a 1-1 draw in Botosani, marking the 6th draw in 6 road matches in the league for the Red Dogs. After the Botosani match, for the first time Dinamo`s players talked about the disappointment of not winning away games, as opposed to their previous speech, which was “it`s good that we are undefeated”. A good sign for today, surely.

Team news & lineups:

Alin Buleica is the only injury worry for Chiajna, alongside the long-term unavailable Adrian Cristea. Cosmin Matei is the only player on Dinamo’s injury / suspension sheet, which is a huge improvement compared to the last round, when Dinamo couldn`t count on 5 key players.

Chiajna: Matache – Bărboianu, Sârghi, Mamele, Bucurică – Serediuc, Purece, Giurgiu, Lazăr – Constantinescu, Pena

Dinamo: Černiauskas – Fai, Marc, Mevlja, Filip – Anton, Vojnovic – Gavrilă, Palić, Rotariu – Gnohere (Essombe)

I believe Dinamo will finally win a game on the road today in Chiajna. They should have done it last round in Botosani, but a horrible injury / suspension situation forced them to eventually settle for the draw. Now the Red Dogs will get players back and morale is excellent after exiting insolvency. They also seem to get tired of drawing matches away from home according to the latest statements and will definitely go for the win in this one. Dinamo would really need the 3 points after failing to win any of the last 3 league matches.

Chiajna is one of the weaker sides in Romania and they will not even have a real home court advantage today. Considering the level of opposition, the venue and the fact that the team is healthy, this is the most accessible road game for Dinamo so far. My tip is Dinamo to win with a 0,25 asian handicap. Prediction: Concordia Chiajna – Dinamo Bucharest 0-2.

Pick: Dinamo Buc (-0,25 Asian Handicap)
Odds: 2.17 @ Sbobet
Stake: 8
Possible profit: 9.36
