The Dallas Mavericks will host the Golden State Warriors for the second time in three days, and I will take the same bet I took successfully two nights ago – Dallas to score first.
The circumstances are the same – the Warriors have all three centers injured and their tallest player is 6’7″, while the Mavericks have Porzingis standing at 7’3″ – that’s almost a 20 centimeters difference.
As such, the Mavericks are virtually assured to win the opening tip and have the first possession (Porzingis won the tip off easily on Thursday), which gives them a much higher chance to score first than the Warriors. Two nights ago they missed their first chance, but so did the Warriors and eventually Dallas got the first points.
Amazingly, the odds for Dallas to score first increased compared to the last meeting, and are now almost equal to odds for Warriors to score first. That makes absolutely no sense.
There’s not much more to say. Dallas to score first. If you can’t find this bet, Porzingis over 21,5 points also looks nice. He scored 25 last time around and will probably get more touches in the paint tonight considering how the last game went, he’ll also play more minutes as he was a bit limited on Thursday because it was the second night of a back to back.
