🏀 Detroit Pistons – Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns will be 6.5 point favorites when they travel to Detroit on Friday night to take on the Pistons.

The Pistons (1-7, 1-3 home) currently own the worst record in the league, winning a single game, and that was against the Celtics on January 1st – when the C’s played abysmal and quite honestly looked like they had too much fun the night before. Detroit hasn’t been completely horrible, as they showed fight in most of their games and were rarely blown out, but fact is that this team is just not good, and won’t get too many wins this season.

The Suns (6-2, 3-1 away) appear to be the real deal after the off season addition of Chris Paul. In fact, Phoenix played exceptionally well since the NBA bubble a few months ago, when they went 8-0, and are continuing on the same note. Not only does Phoenix have a 6-2 record, but they got this despite a tough schedule with only playoff level teams, and their two losses came in very close games.

Injury report: Nothing of note to report here. Jackson and Rose are slight doubts for the Pistons, but will most likely play.

The Suns are rolling and it’s difficult to see them getting sidetracked by this ugly looking Pistons team. It would be quite ironic, as the Pistons are by far the worst opposition the Suns have met so far.

Blake Griffin is just back from injury for the Pistons and he looked horrible in the last game, while Derrick Rose, who has been the go to guy for them this season, will find a very difficult matchup in Chris Paul. If Rose is not effective, it will be really hard for the Pistons to find offense, especially in crunch time.

The Suns have been trustworthy for some time now, and I reckon they have all the tools to extend their lead at the top of the Western Conference tonight.

My tip will be Phoenix to win, odds are not spectacular by any means, but even so I think they are a bit higher than they should be. Prediction: Detroit Pistons – Phoenix Suns 105 – 115.
