Levante sits on a warm spot in the middle of the table and has no objective in this end of the season. This lack of motivation is probably why they put on such a lacklustre performance last round at home in an ugly 0-0 draw with Getafe – their first point in three rounds. Similar to Elche, Levante is a very defensive team and scores less than 1 goal per game. Team news for Elche say that Ivanschitz, Barral and Juanfran are unavailable for selection. Elche needs points badly and will focus 100% on this game, taking no risks in their quests to keep a clean sheet and maybe get a winner, while Levante will play relaxed, their usual game, satisfied to defend well and not concede. I doubt either team has the offensive power to break down the opponents. Elche might win because of motivation but I don’t rule out a draw which would also be a decent result for them.
