The Three Lions will host Chile in an anticipated friendly game at Wembley in London.
England is showing good performances lately as they are currently on a 10 match unbeaten run. They have won their qualifying group for the World Cup by topping Poland, Montenegro and Ukraine. Their statline showed a 6-4-0 win-draw-loss record, with a goal difference of 31-4, but 13 goals were scored against San Marino. Still, very good scoring numbers for England and this surely has much to do with the resurgence of Wayne Rooney. England will have some absentees today, including Gerrard, Wellbeck, Carrick, Lambert or Walker. Joe Hart has been dropped to the bench and Fraser Forster will most likely deputise in goal.
England lineup: Forster – Smalling, Cahill, Jagielka, Baines – Lampard, Lallana, Cleverley, Townsend – Sturridge, Rooney
Similar to England, Chile is in great form and has not lost in the last 9 games. Chile finished 3rd in the South American qualification group for the World Cup, finishing ahead the likes of Uruguay or Ecuador, just 4 points shy of 1st placed Argentina. Chile has a great generation of players and will be a tough test for England. They will miss one of their stars for this game, Juventus’ attacking midfielder Arturo Vidal.
Chile lineup: Bravo – Gonzalez, Mena, Valdivia – Carmona, Isla, Diaz, Medel, Aranguiz, Sanchez – Vargas

With the players they have in midfield and attack it is no wonder that Chile plays some fantastic offensive football, creating a lot of chances and also taking them. They do not care too much about defending. Last time Chile played a game with less than 3 goals was in March against Uruguay. The last 8 matches for the South Americans saw at least 3 goals. There`s no reason for Chile to break the high scoring run today. England will be happy to accept Chile`s tempo and style of play. The Three Lions have been great in offense under Roy Hogdson and even when they were involved in underish games, there were a lot of goal chances, like in the last match against Poland (2-0, should have been 4-2 easy). The last time England did not score a goal at home was in 2010!
I do not see any reasons for this not to be a very nice game with at least 3-4 goals to show for. Two teams that love attacking play, Chile is actually an all-out-attack type of team. The visitors have the ability to easily break down England’s robust back line … England, of course, can score a couple themselves at Wembley. The fact that this is a friendly game only adds to the chances of an open match, with a fast paced tempo, many counters and ultimately goal chances. I can see 3 goals in this game easily.
My call is England – Chile 3-2 and I will actually go with maximum stakes on the over 2,5 goals bet at great odds by Pinnacle.
