Everton – QPR

Everton QPR betting tips and previewStruggling Everton will try and revert to winning ways when they meet Premier League`s worst road team, Queens Park Rangers.

Looking at Everton’s statistics recently you will see 3 losses and 1 draw in the last 4 games, but the crisis of results is really not that bad. They lost to Tottenham and Manchester City (both times on the road by 1 goal) and the other defeat was in a meaningless Europa League game against Krasnodar midweek. Indeed they should have beaten Hull at home 2 weeks ago but that was really the only truly bad result and Everton deserved to win that game.

QPR won 2 of the last three games, climbing to the 18th place in the standings, but looking at their quality of football it`s really hard to see them escaping the drop this season. No doubt QPR is one of the worst 3 teams in the league and they have been atrociously bad on the road, posting some historically bad statistics: 7 games, 7 losses, 2-17 goal difference.

Team news & lineups:

Everton will have to do without Atsu and Barry. McCarthy, Naismith, Stones and Gibson are questinable, but at least the first one should be able to start. QPR will miss Austin, Taarabt, Sandro and Faurlin, with Caulker being a slight doubt – so Rio Ferdinand could come back in the starting lineup after a horrible start of the season for him.

Everton: Howard – Baines, Distin, Jagielka, Coleman – McCarthy, Osman – Mirallas, Barkley, Eto’o – Lukaku

QPR: Green – Isla, Caulker, Dunne, Suk-Young – Vargas, Barton, Henry, Fer, Hoilett – Zamora

Listen, Everton is clearly struggling a little bit right now, but they are by no means as bad as the plain statistics suggest. Look for the Toffees to come out guns blazing today, they absolutely need to win this in order to break the bad run of results and climb some places in the standings (a win would see them jump from a disastrous 13th place to a more reasonable 10th place). QPR has been a joke on the road and I can`t see them getting their first points against a very good attacking team like Everton – even if the Toffees have been surprisingly weak at home this season. My tip is Everton to win with a 1 goal asian handicap. Prediction: Everton – Queens Park Rangers 2-0.
