The odds on favorites France will face Honduras in their group E opener, a match that many are expecting France will win easily.

Les Bleus have been simply devastating ever since they lost the first leg of the World Cup qualification playoffs 2-0 against Ukraine. Listen, France is a team that can do some damage in this World Cup. Their 8-0 win against Jamaica a week ago showed how effective this side is, and what it can do when meeting inferior opposition. Honduras is not a Costa Rica type of team that can spring an upset, they do not have the same speed or chemistry and their offensive partnership of Bengtson and Costly is screaming lack of quality. I rate this as the most unbalanced match in the competition so far and France should easily cover the handicap. The only condition would be a goal in the first half, because otherwise Honduras will be able to fragment the game and waste time in the second half, making things difficult for Les Bleus.
