While still impressive, Barcelona is not the same team without messi and Getafe has been great at home this season, so I don`t see an easy win for the visitors – particularly with Champions League coming up midweek. Getafe has played well this season and they will be desperate to improve after the disaster suffered against Sevilla. Last time at home they defeated Las Palmas 4-0 and while that won`t happen today, Getafe will draw confidence from their home form this season.
Look for Getafe to play its usual, rugged, defensive football and it won`t be an easy travel for Barcelona. Getafe is not a team you can easily cover a handicap against on the road, even in the best of circumstances. Unfortunately the bookies judged the situation well and the odds on Barcelona are not as low as I was hoping, but I reckon there`s still some value to be taken on the hosts.
