Golden State Warriors will look to take a 2-0 advantage over the Cavs in the NBA finals before going to Cleveland, after the hosts won Game 1 rather easily, by 15 points.
The Warriors were able to overcome off nights by Steph Curry and Klay Thompson in Game 1, still winning by 15 despite their two best players combining for only 20 points. The bench was huge, with Livingston and Iguodala having massive nights. Iguodala proved again that he can limit Lebron’s offense, while Livingston put up 20 points on 8 of 10 shooting.
Game 1 could hardly have looked any worse for the Cavs. Lebron played well, Love played very well and Irving put up his share of points, while for Golden State Curry had 11 points and Thompson had 9. Looking at the individual stats of the stars, anybody would assume Cleveland won Game 1 handingly, but in fact they were blown out by Golden State’s bench and looked poorly matched up against the Champions. Cleveland simply had no answer for Golden State’s style of basketball and for their role players.

Sure, Golden State’s bench as a unit will probably not be as effective in Game 2 (aside from Iguodala who always gives you the goods), but they won`t need to be. Curry and Thompson always bounce back after a poor shooting night and they should have big numbers today. If Cleveland got dominated with those 2 playing poorly, lord have mercy when Curry and Klay start raining threes.
I just believe that Golden State won this championship in the previous round, when they came back from 3-1 down against OKC, a team that was playing incredible basketball, was a much tougher matchup in terms of styles and a better team than the Cavs I would say. Golden State seems ready, hungry and prepared to deal with anything Cavs could throw at them – which is less than OKC could throw.
It`s usually a mistake to place so much judgement on a single game, but right now it simply seems that this Cleveland side does not have the game plan to challenge Golden State and rookie coach Lue (which I don`t rate highly) can not be trusted to make the proper adjustments. They can`t beat GS with three point shooting, they can`t defend them and they definitely can`t beat them playing isolation offense, as proved in Game 1.
Golden State is the better team of the two, they have been the better team all year and should go up 2-0 in the series today in front of their wild fans. All things considered, my tip for Game 2 is Warriors to cover the 6 point spread – a pretty simple and logical bet really. Prediction: Golden State Warriors – Cleveland Cavaliers 112 – 98.

Great pick π Looking forward for your insights before game 3.
The way this series is looking, I`m pretty sure I`ll keep riding with Golden State. Cavs simply have no answer.
Do you think GSW gonna win game 3 ? I mean Cavs is in a win or die situation now.
I think so, yes. Cavs are simply poorly matched up vs GSW and they donβt have a coach that can find answers. Styles make fights.
