Warriors – Mavericks

Warriors Mavs betting preview

Hey guys, first of all I want to wish Happy Holidays to all who are celebrating, I hope you are having a happy and relaxing time with your family and friends, and I hope each of us will strive to be a better and kinder person in the year to come.

I am sorry I haven’t written predictions in the last month. I have been dealing with some shitty personal issues, and more recently I also broke my wrist, which makes it very difficult to type.

Tonight the Golden State Warriors will host the Dallas Mavericks at the Chase Center.

The Warriors (9-24, 6-10 home) had the worst record in the league for most of this early part of the season, Which was to be expected considering they are playing without Curry and Thompson, their two best players. However, the Warriors have shocked everybody recently, putting together a run of 4 consecutive wins, including one over the Phoenix Suns lat night.

The Mavs (20-10, 11-3 away) are having an excellent year. The emergence of Luka Doncic as an MVP caliber superstar has sent the Mavs into the upper echelon of the Western Conference, and they are really playing some great basketball. The Mavs are also in excellent form, winning 13 of the last 14 matches in which Doncic played (he was recently out for 4 games, with the Mavs going 2-2 in them).

Team news and injury report: The Warriors will miss Curry, Thompson and Looney, while Paschal and Spellman are highly doubtful. The Mavs are at full strength.

The Warriors played with a lot of energy during this 4 game winning streak, and that was the reason for their success, as they clearly do not have the talent. But now, on a back to back and playing for the 3rd time in 4 nights, that energy might not be there anymore.

This Warriors run will clearly end soon as they remain one of the worst teams in the league, and this definitely seems like the most likely moment for the streak to stop.

Facing the Mavs will be a really tough challenge, we are talking about an excellent Mavs team which just got star man Luka Doncic back, and which is tied with the Lakers and the Bucks for the fewest losses on the road this season (three).

The Mavs are the top rated offensive team in the league, so a 10 point spread should be in their grasp against a Warriors team likely to finally have an off night.

Earlier this season the Mavs obliterated the Warriors by 48 points in Dallas.

My tip will be Dallas to cover the 10,5 point handicap. Prediction: Golden State Warriors – Dallas Mavericks 98 – 117.

Main Pick: Mavs -10,5
Odds: 1.93 @ 18Bet
Stake: 8
Possible profit: 7.44
Event date: 29 December
