🏀 Golden State Warriors – LA Clippers

The Golden State Warriors will look to make it three wins in a row when they host the Los Angeles Clippers at Chase Center on Wednesday night.

The Warriors (4-3, 2-1 home) had a rough start to the season, getting blown out in three of the first five games of the season, and struggling to win the other two. However, the Dubs stepped it up big time in the last couple of outings, winning big against the Blazers and the Kings, both of these solid teams with playoff aspirations. It seems that this new roster is finding its groove. Draymond Green’s return helped, as well as Curry’s MVP level play (92 points in the last 7 quarters).

The Clippers (5-3, 3-1 away) will be on the second night of a back to back here, after losing at home to the Spurs yesterday, a game in which Paul George sat out with an ankle injury. George is doubtful for tonight, and Kawhi Leonard could sit out as well, so there’s a lot of anxiety surrounding LA coming into this one. They will not want to lose a third game from their last four.

Injury report: The Warriors have no notable injury concerns aside from Klay Thompson who is known to be out for the season. The Clippers have a lot of uncertainty surrounding them. Paul George is doubtful, Kawhi usually doesn’t play back to backs, while Morris will likely be out.

The Warriors are coming into their own. After the team struggled in the first few games, as expected given the new pieces GS added, things are looking pretty good now. Draymond is back, Steph is playing at his usual MVP level again, and the supporting cast seems better adjusted and more confident.

The big news however is coming from the LA camp. As mentioned, Paul George is doubtful, and you would expect Kawhi Leonard to miss this one, since he usually does not play on the second night of back to backs – not to mention the fact that he played 37 minutes last night against the Suns.

Without its two stars, LA should get eaten alive by these Warriors. Having only one of them would still make LA underdogs in my eyes, and even if somehow both play – which seems unlikely to say the least, the Warriors would still have a shot.

I reckon the value is all over Golden State here given LA’s situation, and odds are already dropping on the Dubs. Again, I find them to be underrated. I’ll take a risk and go with max stakes here, because the opportunity seems just too good to miss. Prediction: Golden State Warriors – LA Clippers 120 – 104.

  1. Kawhi Leonard is not on the injury report for Wednesday vs. the Warriors.

If this holds, this will be Kawhi’s first time playing in both games of a back-to-back since 2017

Now this would be something …
