La Liga football in Spain, with 19th placed Granada hosting 7th placed Malaga in the 26th round, in the last match of the day.
Granada is doing really bad at the moment … 19th place, 5 points behind salvation. The hosts were able to win only one of the last 15 matches and that was a hard fought 1-0 home win vs. Elche. The form of Granada is as bad as it gets and they are on a two match losing streak, 1-2 at Levante and 1-3 against Barcelona. Surprisingly they managed to score twice in these games, but the defense betrayed them … and if the defense is not working, they stand zero chances in this division. Adrian Colunga is suspended and is the only absentee for Granada today.

Malaga is playing excellent football this season, they sit on the 7th place and are only 4 points behind Villareal for the 6th place, which guarantees an Europa League spot. The visitors are on a very good run of form, winning two consecutive matches, including the historic 1-0 win at Camp Nou vs. Barcelona. Malaga doesn’t have big problems with injuries or suspensions ahead of this game: Sergio Sanchez is the only player that will surely miss the game. Juanpi and Javi Guerra are questionable.
I find it hard to see how Malaga can lose this game … despite playing away from home they are so much better than Granada, in much better form and actually played good football on the road this season (5-2-5). The goalscoring form of Malaga has been excellent lately and with Granada conceding more than usual, the visitors look good value to find the net. On the other hand Granada has no offensive power and it does not look likely that they can score two games in a row … and even if they bang one in, they can still lose.
Malaga should get at least a draw today, but if they play their game they should actually return home with a win. The 6th place is so close and this is a golden chance to cut the distance, so look for Malaga to play a good game and record a close win. My tip will be Malaga to win by a -0,25 asian handicap. For better safety there is of course the Malaga Draw no bet option. Correct score prediction: Granada – Malaga 0-1.
Pick: Malaga (-0,25 Asian Handicap)
