First seed Grigor Dimitrov and reigning champion Lukas Rosol will square off Sunday afternoon in the Bucharest final. It should be a great game between two attacking players.
Dimitrov reached the final after defeating Vesely (7-6 6-2) and Stakhovsky (6-3 6-4) in 2 sets each, then benefiting from Monfils’ retirement in the first set of the semifinals. Grigor didn`t play too much tennis this week, but when he did he looked ok, pretty sharp and motivated, though not at his absolute best. The bulgarian showed some great form in 2014, winning the Acapulco title and reaching the AO quarterfinals, and is on the back of a 3rd round at Monte Carlo in his first clay court tournament this season.
As I said in the previous days on other tips involving Dimitrov, he looked a little bit relaxed and off his game in training, but when it came to playing in the tournament he raised his level and now surely he`ll be focused and fired up for this final.

Rosol seems to really love Bucharest. He plays inconsistent tennis all season, but when coming to Romania he suddenly resembles that player who beat Nadal at Wimbledon. The Czech won the title last year playing some amazing tennis and here he is in the last act again – the only 2 finals of his career. Rosol was in solid form this week, defeating Volandri, Nieminen and Simon without losing a set to reach the semifinals. He did have serious problems on Saturday against Haase being down 3-6 0-2 but recovered brilliantly to turn the clash around, painting the lines with winners towards the end of the match.
The H2H is 0-0, this will be the first meeting between Dimitrov and Rosol, so there`s only so much we can say about the matchup. The obvious fact is that both like to play offensive tennis from the baseline and are good servers.
I think Dimitrov will win this, he’s a much better player than Rosol, but I`m pretty sure it won`t be easy. We all know that, when he`s in form, Lukas cam play amazing and can battle it out with pretty much any player in the world – and he`s in that kind of form right now, at a tournament he obviously loves. He is in great rhythm as opposed to Dimitrov, who didn`t get too play too much, so at least in the first set Rosol should have an edge until Grigor gets in his groove. The weather is expected to be dry and sunny Sunday in Bucharest so that should make for faster conditions, helping both players to keep serve. If Rosol can`t ‘steal’ a set he will most likely at least reach a tiebreak so the 21,5 game line seems perfect for a bet on the over. It would also work with a result as low as 7-6 6-3 and the odds are very good. All in all, my tip is over 21,5 games. Prediction: Grigor Dimitrov – Lukas Rosol 6-7 6-4 6-2.
