Chelsea will be looking to avoid another slip up when they travel to Hull City today.
Hull City received a lot of praise from holding Leicester to a 0-0 draw away from home with 10 men last round, but I disagree with that. Hull only played 20 minutes with 10 men and was slightly outplayed by Leicester, the worst Premier League team, even for the first 70 minutes. Hull has been a little disappointing this season, they should have done better than 15th place and fighting for relegation. The visitors have not won for three games and won just 2 of their 15 road games this season.
Chelsea looked like they already won the league a couple of weeks ago, but the tie against PSG clearly affected them and they ended up losing 2 points at home against Southampton last round. Mourinho’s side really needs to pick things up, as another slip up today will give Manchester City and Arsenal a real chance to attack the title – and with Arsenal’s form, you never know what can happen.

Snodgrass and Huddlestone are the only sure-fire absentees for Hull, but they could also miss Chester, Rosenior, Diame and Brady. Chelsea will have to do without Obi Mikel, while Willian is doubtful.

Chelsea was brilliant in putting away lesser opposition this season, even if on the road they did struggle in some games. However, leaving quality aside, Hull does not have the form required to challenge a motivated team like Chelsea. Hull is clearly struggling to find goals right now (one in the last 3 matches) and Chelsea will come into this with complete focus, motivation and defensive caution after the latest results. I`m sure Mourinho focused on not allowing a goal, and with Hull’s offense, that should become a reality.
My tip is Chelsea to win to nil. They should do the job and win us the bet, even if they don`t play at their best. Prediction: Hull City – Chelsea 0-1.
