🏀 LA Clippers – Phoenix Suns ❌

The LA Clippers will face a must win game on Thursday night, when they host the Phoenix Suns down 0-2 in the Western Conference Finals.

The feeling right now is that the Clippers missed their shot in this series two nights ago in Phoenix. I backed the Clippers at odds 2.80 in that Game 2, and indeed they should have won it. Paul George missed two free throws when the Clips were up by one with 7 seconds to go, and then the Suns managed to win it at the buzzer despite only having 0.9 seconds to work out a play.

Now the Clippers are down 0-2, they must be devastated emotionally, and to top it off Chris Paul is expected to return for the Suns after passing COVID protocol.

With LA missing Kawhi and the Suns missing Paul, the first two games were anybody’s to win, but now with Paul back for the Suns, a sweep seems likely. Paul is taking Phoenix’s game to another level with his playmaking, IQ and leadership, and that should be enough for a win in Game 3.

The Suns are now clearly the better team and they have all the momentum and the confidence. They should expect a solid display from their main man Devin Booker as well, after he was rather poor a couple of nights ago – a superstar of his caliber rarely has two bad games in a row.

I’m riding with the Suns here to get their 10th (!!) straight win. It must be said that Paul is not 100% cleared to play, so there’s a small risk there. But all the insiders suggest he will, and that’s what you would expect based on the previous history of COVID protocols. I’m trying to get better odds by taking this bet now, as opposed to when it will be official that he’s cleared (which should happen and will hopefully happen).

Back the Suns. Prediction: LA Clippers – Phoenix Suns 105 – 115.
