The LA Lakers will host the Washington Wizards in the last game of the night on Tuesday.
The Lakers (32-41, 19-17 home) have had a miserable season considering their expectations after adding Lebron James in the summer. With Lebron aging and missing some games, and with the supporting cast clearly not being good enough, the Lakers fell out of playoff contention a few weeks ago and are now officially eliminated from the playoff. LA has been horrible since it became clear the playoffs are lost, losing 8 out of the last 10, but they did get a good win a couple of nights ago against the Kings.
The Wizards (30-44, 8-28 away) also had a disastrous year, as they were never near the playoffs in the poor Eastern Conference. With John Wall going down pretty early in the season, it was up to Bradley Beal to lead this team, but he has fallen short. The Wizards lost 7 of their last 10 games, including 4 in a row.

LA: Lebron James is listed as probable for the Lakers, which means he will very likely play. He doesn`t have any injuries, it`s just that he might be rested from time to time at the end of this season, but probably not tonight. Ingram and Ball are out for the season, while Muscala and Bullock are questionable.
WAS: Wall and Howard are out for Washington, while Ariza is highly doubtful and not expected to play.
Both teams have been rubbish recently, and neither one is fully healthy. However, you have to feel that the Lakers are in a much better position to win this game.
Home court advantage should be very important considering that the Wizards are 8-28 away from home this season, but also because the home crowd will give some energy to the Lakers. And energy could be something which might make the difference in a game between two bored teams with nothing left to fight for.
LA`s young players should also come out with more intensity considering that they are fighting for a spot on the roster next season.
The Wizards have not won a road game in March and even if the Lakers are struggling, they at least have Lebron and home court advantage. They are also coming after a win against the Kings, a bounce back performance in which the team looked pretty good. All this should be enough against this poor Wizards side.
