Lazio comes into this match after a very difficult to digest home loss in Serie A, 0-1 to their rivals Napoli. They were overwhelmed by injuries, and they still are, but it’s still looking a little better than last week with some players back in the lineup.
For this game, Lazio have Mauri back (7 goals) and regular GK Marchetti. They still have a lot of absences, like brilliant brazilian Felipe Anderson (16 app/5 goals), defenders Gentiletti, Braafheid, Ciani and midfielders Lulic, Ederson and Gonzalez. However Lazio has looked like a team, and this year they really are strong, with a good squad, good coach, and good consistency. They have players that can change the fate of the game in any moment, like Candreva, Djordjevic, Klose, Parolo and Mauri.

Milan are a mess. Their game plan is hard to understand under coach Inzaghi (that is, if they actually have a game plan….). They defend badly, attack chaotically, their midfield is only visible in the defensive phase, so bad football overall from the Rossoneri. They have a lot of players that do not know their place on the field, their first 11 is inconsistent at best and what is the most frustrating thing, no improvement is seen from week to week. They rely almost 100% on the brilliance of Menez.
In this game however, Lazio will be vulnerable, due to the many missings in defense. Milan will also be vulnerable because they miss 3 central defenders (Zapata, Rami and Bonera), as well as fullbacks (de Scigio and winger Honda-6 goals).
I see an open game, where Lazio will hope to make up the lost points to Napoli, whereas Milan continue to struggle to keep a clean sheet. Milan have kept just 4 clean sheets (out of 19) while Lazio 6, so this makes the Both Teams To Score a very good bet and that will be my prediction.
