Malek Jaziri and Kyle Edmund square off in the first round at the new ATP 250 event in Nottingham.

Jaziri won a single match in the last month and a half and he has been dreadful on grass, losing 2-0 to Reid and Kudla in challenger tournaments. The Tunisian player was knocked out in the first round in 10 of the 16 tournaments he played this season, including challenger level. He had one good showing at the Australian Open, but after that he was unable to find any kind of rhythm. Grass is not Jaziri’s favorite surface, but he can play on the green.

It will be his first match on the green in 2015, as in the last two weeks he had to recover from that abdominal muscle strain that forced him to forfeit in Paris.

This will be the first meeting between the two players. Not much to say about the matchup, except for the fact that the grass surface clearly favors Kyle Edmund.

The question for Edmund is fitness, but I fully believe that he`s ready, as light abdominal muscle strains are not so bad and he had enough time to recover and train. Additionally, I am absolutely sure that he wouldn`t have entered the tournament if he had the slightest discomfort – he can`t risk losing Wimbledon, which is just around the corner.

If the Brit is fit, this should be a no contest. Jaziri is in dreadful form and he`s not exactly a grass court player, while Edmund is an up and coming, in form youngster with an excellent game on the green. Look for Edmund to win this and I reckon he should do it comfortably. Despite Edmund coming back from injury, I am confident that it will not affect him, for the reasons stated above, so I will invest maximum stakes on this bet. Odds are dropping and I don`t expect to see this fantastic price come game time. In all honesty, I think the fair price for an Edmund win would be around 1.60 at best, so the value is surely there.
