Milwaukee could have done with Carter-Williams in this match, but they are playing well without him, while OJ Mayo has not even played so far this season. Star forward Jabari Parker is fit and ready to go for the home team.
Boston has been very respected by the bookmakers so far and that`s peculiar, because they are average at best and did not post good results either – despite playing most of their games at home. Again they are given too much credit against the Bucks, as the correct spread should be about 3 points here – and even then I would be all over the bet on Milwaukee to cover the handicap.
I watched both these sides plenty of times already and I expect Milwaukee to be too strong, particularly at home. Their ball movement and team play is very solid, they are confident after 4 straight wins and are buoyed by the return of key players like Jabari Parker. Boston’s offense is depended on big nights from 2 or 3 players, particularly Isaiah Tomas and I doubt they can do damage with just isolation and penetration against such a well built team like the Bucks.
Also, it`s questionable that a rather mediocre side like Boston can put on two great results in a row. They made 12 threes last time out against Washington, I doubt they can do the same against a Bucks side that allowed an average of just 90,2 points per game in the last 4 matches, while allowing under 5 threes per game.
My tip is Milwaukee to win with the tiny 1 point spread set by the bookies. The under might also be a good option. Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks – Boston Celtics 100-92.
