Brann Bergen is on the 14th place (out of 16) with just 8 points after 11 rounds and relegation will probably loom over their head for the whole season. The visitors are on a 3 match losing streak in the Tippeligaen, conceding at least 2 goals in each of those losses, and they really need to improve their defense (the worst in the league right now). Somewhat of a bright spot for Brann is that they played a little better on the road, losing “just” 3 out of 6 matches.
Team news: Molde has no injuries or suspensions aside from the long term absences of Pettersen and Gatt. Brann will probably have to do without the first choice keeper Leciejewski, who is highly doubtful.
My input is that this match calls for a solid bet on Molde to win with at least a 1 goal handicap. There`s no question that the hosts are at least 2 levels against Brann this season and the fact that they are on the back of their worst match of the season will surely determine them to be focused and motivated for this one. Brann has a horrible defense and I can’t see them being able to resist against the brilliant attacking lineup of Molde. The hosts have the quality, the motivation and the offense vs. defense matchup, so they should be able to get a big win. It`s very unlikely that a top team like Molde will put together two poor matches in a row. My tip is Molde to win and cover the 1,5 goal handicap. Prediction: Molde – Brann Bergen 3-0.
