After a strong start to the season Nantes looks to have finally stopped overachieving. They fell from 4th place to 8th place in the last month and a half after some very poor performances that saw them get just 4 points in the last 6 Ligue 1 matches. They had better sucess in the league cup reaching the semis, but the quarters against Nice (4-3 at home) also were not such an impressive performance. Nantes lost 5-0 at PSG two weeks ago, so morale surely is not too high among the hosts. Nantes also has some injury worries with Nicolita, Pancrate, Audel and Aristeguieta set to miss the game

PSG was shocked by Montpellier in the Coupe the France, 2-1 at Parc des Princes, and for this game Laurent Blanc called for much better focus from his players. We all know how unpredictable the French cups are, but that`s a valid statement mostly for individual matches and not for the competitions as a whole. I can’t look past PSG to win in this match, and they might just also cover a 1 goal handicap. They are a much better team, just beat Nantes 5-0 and very importantly they are focused and motivated for this semifinal after the bad experience in the Coupe de France. Also, Nantes is in horrible form, which in my opinion makes an excellent mix of arguments for PSG to win. My tip is PSG to cover the -1 asian handicap and my prediction for a correct score would be Nantes – PSG 0-2. I can`t see premises for an upset in this game. Nantes has the home court advantage and that will help, but only to a certain extent. PSG won many matches on the road this season and they should do it again against a struggling opponent.
