The highly anticipated Wimbledon 2015 final will feature a battle between World number 1 and World number 2, with both guys fully deserving of their place in the last act. It will be a rematch of last years’ final, won by the Djoker in 5 sets.
Aside from the fantastic match with Anderson, when he came back from 0-2 in sets, Djokovic has been rock solid in this tournament – bouncing back in style after the Roland Garros disappointment. Nole did show serious weaknesses against Anderson, but I don`t see it being much of an issue – he raised his level against Cilic in the quarters and Gasquet in the semis and he`l surely be somewhere near his best today. However, this might be the problem – while Nole has been great, it`s hard to say that he played his absolute top tennis. Nothing special really, just good, solid play and he didn`t meet any top 15 opponent to test him.
Federer on the other hand is playing some of his best tennis. He cruised trough the first 5 rounds, losing serve just once and losing a single set – both of those being peculiar accidents. His match against Murray was surely one of the best matches he played in the last 6-7 years – Fedex was at his absolute best, bringing back memories of 2005-2007. Murray didn`t play poorly at all – actually he played a very solid match, but even so he had a single break point (in the first game, not converted), which is incredible for such a good returner.

The Head 2 Head is 20-19 for Federer (1-1 on grass, 1-2 for Nole this year). Djokovic won a 5 set thriller in last years’ Wimbledon final. While the two are pretty evenly matched up in terms of Head 2 Head wins, it`s a known factor that Djokovic struggles with Federer’s best level. Everytime Roger brought his absolute best tennis (the kind he played against Murray), he defeated Djokovic, no matter how well the Serbian played. When Roger is a little shaky, he usually loses. Djokovic can take on an in-form Federer, but not a red-hot Federer. This was visible in last years` final, when Federer himself summed it up: “I played well, but not my absolute best”. Roger also stated after his win against Murray that “he knows how to play Djokovic” – and he does.
Honestly, I don`t know if Djokovic can bring much more to the table than Murray did in the semis – sure the Djoker is a more accomplished player, but Andy played really well and they both have the same style of tennis. If Federer continues to serve like he did in his tournament and if he repeats the overall performance he put on against Murray, he will win this. This is what it`s all about really – Djokovic can`t touch Roger if Federer is serving at his best and blasting winners off both sides. Of course, nobody can guarantee that he will keep up the same intensity, but it`s hard to see him suddenly losing his composure in the final.
The odds are solid, though I actually hoped the bookies will underrate Federer even more. I know some of you will shake your heads as I`m picking Federer again, but I`ll live with that, it`s just a bet analyzed in itself and hopefully expectations will be met. The Swiss is looking sharper than last year, while Djokovic, at best, is at the same level. The biggest danger here is if it goes to 5 sets, as Djokovic would be expected to have the edge in that situation. I am worried about that, but all in all my tip is Federer to win – the 7 time Champion really did look like the man to beat even from the early rounds of the tournament.
Personally I`m choosing to go with maximum stakes on this one, probably taking an extra risk for a better payday, because I really struggled to choose something between 8 and 10 units. Prediction: Novak Djokovic – Roger Federer 4-6 6-7 6-4 5-7.

Forgot to mention in the pick that it might rain, so if that happens Federer would have an advantage under a closed roof (faster conditions). He turned around the 2012 final against Murray thanks to the roof.
I like Federer too, but i feel i am betting with my heart.
The truth is that Djokovic has been pretty stable so far, and some of his victories were impressive, especially not dropping a set vs Gasquet and Cilic.
Mentally, Djokovic is like rock strong compared to Federer.
Roger Federer is a genius player, he played unbelivable on Wimbledon, and he lost his serve just once in six matches untuil now.
But I think Nole can break Federer “s serve with his huge return, He can play again and again on Roger”s backhand and he can vary the play with dropshots .
I believe in Nole”s triumph…
