🏀 Oklahoma City Thunder – Washington Wizards ❌

Back today with some NBA action, as the 17-22 Washington Wizards will face the 16-22 Thunder in Oklahoma City.

This will be pretty straightforward: there is a good opportunity backing Kristaps Porzingis to score over 23,5 points.

The first and most obvious reason is that the Wizards will be without their main man Bradley Beal, so Porzingis, along with Kyle Kuzma, will have to carry most of the scoring load tonight.

But it’s not just that. Porzingis should match up incredibly well against a very small Thunder team, which doesn’t have a man taller than 6’8″ on their roster, while KP, as we know, is 7’3″. It’s pretty reasonable to expect a lot of plays being run for the Latvian big man, who should be able to feast inside the paint against much smaller opposition.

Porzingis has also been very solid recently, averaging exactly 24 points over his last five games.

We can go even further and note that in the other meeting between the two teams this year, Porzingis scored 27 points, and that was with Bradley Beal on the floor. It supports the theory that this is a great matchup for him.

This is also projected to be a close game, so chances for a blowout (which would mean garbage time and Porzingis sitting out the 4th quarter) aren’t very high.

Back KP to pass the 23,5 point line, it’s a bet which makes a lot of sense. Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder – Washington Wizards 115 – 112.
