I think people are overestimating Bordeaux here. Marseille under Bielsa has played free flowing football. OM has always had a smart player transfer policy and season by season they have bought some interesting players. They have Payet, Gignac Ayew and Thauvin in attack, who in my opinion can destabilize any team in Europe, any time.
Bordeaux are a decent side, with a young and ambitious coach (Willy Sagnol) but for me they are nothing special. They do not approach games with a certain attitude. What i mean is that they do not know how to defend against good teams, the play the same type of football against any opponent, and this is a bad thing considering today’s game.
