Orlando Magic will hope to improve their home record when they take on the shorthanded Charlotte Bobcats at the Amway Center.
Orlando (13-23, 4-11 home) hasn`t played too well on its own floor but had an overall decent season. The Magic don’t have star talent, but they are playing very well together and with this young groop of guys they are doing some damage in the Eastern Conference against more seasoned sides. However, the Magic have lost 3 of their last 7, including their last two, so they could really do with a win tonight against a Hornets side that has been far from impressive in this NBA season so far.

Charlotte (10-24, 3-12 away) was expected to be a lock for the playoffs after the off season signings, but they have been largely disappointing so far. The team is just not finding chemistry and things took a turn for the worst after their best player, Al Jefferson got injured. Another key piece, Stephenson, is out as well – so there`s really no surprise that Charlotte is on a 5 match losing streak.
My tip is Orlando to win, and I think they will cover the low spread as well. Listen, the hosts are a better all around team, playing well together and you always have to fancy such a team to beat a side that has no chemistry and is struggling. Charlotte has always been a non factor on the road and I can’t see them challenging anybody in the NBA on the road without Al Jefferson and Lance Stephenson. Big Al is their bonified superstar, he`s carrying them game after game, so his absence is massive. Anybody who watched this team playing can confirm this without a shadow of a doubt.
Look for Orlando to win and cover the 4 point spread. Team ball will win this for the Magic and they should also dominate under the paint with Vucevic and Harris in the absence of Big Al. Prediction: Orlando Magic – Charlotte Hornets 95-85.
