The Sacramento Kings will play their second match in two nights, when they travel to Portland in order to take on the Blazers on Tuesday night in the NBA.

The Kings (18-42, 10-22 away) have the lowest number of wins in this NBA season, being tied with 4 other teams for that ‘honor’. Sacramento is in full tank mode and can only hope to finish as low as possible in the standings, in order to get a good draft pick in the Summer. The Kings have been poor lately, losing 8 of their last 10 games. Their only wins in this time span were against two other teams who are tanking (Mavs and Bulls).

This should be a routine win for the Blazers. They are in very good form and they know that every game counts in the tight race for the playoffs in the West, so they are fully focused.
The Kings on the other hand have no reason to win games. While the players will obviously not lose on purpose, their level of focus and concentration doesn`t seem to be that great right now, as their recent results suggest. What`s worse, they are on a back to back, having to play this game on the road just 24 hours after they lost by 18 points at home to Minnesota. Portland hasn`t played since Saturday, so the Blazers will have a big advantage from this point of view.
The Blazers beat the Kings 118-100 just two weeks ago in Sacramento, so chances are they should be able to repeat (or better) that scoreline at home, with the Kings also having the issue of being back to back.
My tip is Portland to cover the 11,5 point handicap. The point spread line isn`t low, but doesn`t look too scary either given the circumstances – so 7 units looks like a reasonable stake on this bet. Prediction: Portland Trailblazers – Sacramento Kings 114 – 95.
