PSV Eindhoven will host Atletico Madrid in the Champions League round of Last 16. I see this as a very unbalanced game.
PSV is a team from Holland, which has a very poor domestic league. It’s basically just for young players. It’s a crazy league, with no tactics at all, with young players trying to impress as soon as possible so they can move to other, better leagues. In this context, PSV is doing very well, because of their good academy and their financial power. However, they did not buy any good players, to replace the departed Wijnaldum and Depay. It seems they don’t need to, since they are #1 in the league, but to be honest, it’s only because Ajax is playing poorly. PSV have not impressed whatsoever and other teams have struggled to keep up. Without a doubt, PSV is weaker than last season, and also, without a doubt, PSV would not have qualified from any other group, except this one, with poor United, CSKA, and average Wolfsburg.

Atletico Madrid is the team with the best defense in the world. That is without a doubt, in my opinion. It’s a system that Simeone built that works well regardless of the players at his disposal. They sold Miranda and they still are doing very well. What I like about Atletico is that the are incredibly well organized in defense and still pose a threat upfront, something that has been missing last season.
I see this as a very unbalanced game. PSV will try to escape without receiving a goal and Atletico will try to score, because they know they are not very good when they have to attack, so the will have to avoid leaving Eindhoven with a 0-0, or worse.
My pick is Atletico to keep a clean sheet (PSV not to score). I could have taken a bet on Atletico to win to nil, but I don’t want to be greedy … especially since these odds for PSV not to score look very good to me. I`m betting my classic 8 unit flat stake on this bet. Good luck!
