Football fans will hope that Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain will put on a better show than they did in the 0-0 draw two weeks ago, but with both sides desperate to finish first, a low risk approach might be on the cards again.

Real Madrid was arguably the better team in France, despite struggling with injuries, but in the end the 0-0 draw was probably a fair result, as neither side created much. Los Blancos have now got their defensive players back from injuries and are continuing their fine form. Real Madrid is yet to lose this season in any competition and they are on the back of two 3-1 wins over Celta Vigo and Las Palmas.

PSG is in great form domestically, posting 10 wins and 2 draws in 12 matches for a comfortable first place in Ligue 1. They are also undefeated this season and, just like Real, they are coming after two wins – 4-1 against Saint Etienne and 1-0 against Rennes. However, PSG’s display against an injury hit Real Madrid side two weeks ago suggests that the French side is still not ready to take the next step in the Champions League and attack at least the semifinals.

Real Madrid’s offense will be hit by the injuries of Benzema and Bale, while Carvajal and Arbeola are questionable. Jamez Rodriguez is fit again, but he hasn`t played since August. PSG won`t be able to count on Marquinhos, Kimpembe and Pastore. David Luiz is doubtful, but he has good chances to be in the starting lineup.

The Frenchman’s role up front is underrated, as he is a huge part of the offense, while Bale is Bale, despite his not so great form. With an injury ravaged front line and taking on a strong opponent like PSG, with the circumstances surrounding the match, with Benitez at the helm and after what we saw two weeks ago, I feel there`s every reason to expect another underish match.
