Colorado Rapids finally got a point last round … 2-2 at home vs. Portland Timbers after 5 defeats in a row including 0-6 vs. LA Galaxy. I watched that game and Colorado was incredibly poor. In the last 2 months this team has been on a horrific run, playing chaotic football, horrible defense. They should improve at some point but not by much because they don`t have too much quality. Colorado can still reach the playoffs … are 6 points away … so we will see urgency from them to get at least a point. Colorado has some injury doubts: Jose Mari, O’Neill, Mullan and top scorer Sanchez.
Over 2,5 goals was my first thought because Salt Lake can score goals and Colorado has awful defense … but I fear Colorado won’t score and the bet will be ruined. I stick with the safer bet, Salt Lake to win, even if odds are a bit lower. Quite simple really … quality, home court advantage and form are enough arguments to support the hosts and I do not see Colorado able to spring an upset, not the way they are playing football now.
