Sacramento Kings will host New Orleans Pelicans at the Golden 1 Center on Tuesday night / Wednesday morning, in what will be only the 3rd home game of the season for the Kings.
The Kings (3-5, 1-1 home) are coming after a 5 game road trip in which they lost their first 4 games, but managed to upset the Raptors in Toronto a couple of nights ago. Sacramento probably expected to be better than their current 3-5 record. They are playoff contender led by a superstar in Cousins, but losing 5 out of 8 is understandable when you are a poor road team and only played 2 times at home. Sacramento will get back starting point guard Collison for this match after he was suspended in the first 8 games of the season.
The Pelicans are 0-7 to start the season (0-3 away) and even if they are bad, they are actually not THIS bad. They miss some of their best players like Holiday, Evans or Pondexter, so their superstar Anthony Davis is basically alone with a bunch of D-League level scrubs. Even so, the Pelicans were competitive in most of their losses and played a great game last night against Golden State, with the Warriors needing a magical night by Steph Curry to win by just 10. That`s not to say the Pelicans are good – no, they are bad, just not the worst team in the NBA as their record suggests.
Bet on Sacramento – New Orleans and get your 100% (100 €) bonus at Ohmbet now!The Kings are a good side, they will surely contend for the playoffs and the main reason for which they are only 3-5 is because they played just two games at home. Kings are a good home team and are expected to be even better in their new arena, which was built this year. On the road, they struggle. They played great in their 2 home games this season, beating Minnesota and challenging the mighty San Antonio Spurs.
There`s also the fact that the Pelicans are on a back to back. All NBA teams struggle on back to backs, even this early in the season, but for the Pelicans it will be even more difficult. Firstly, they played Golden State last night, which was an ultra tough game – and they had to work hard, as the match was tight until the end. Secondly, they have no depth and no bench. Lastly, they actually played very well last night against the Warriors and for a poor team like New Orleans, it`s unlikely they can play two good games in a row.
With Anthony Davis expected to be a bit tired after playing big minutes last night and with him having to go against Demarcus Cousins, the New Orleans superstar might have a difficult time – and if he`s not putting up huge numbers, the Pelicans are barely an NBA team right now. I don`t see him having a big night (for his standards) and if he doesn’t, it`s game over for New Orleans – because if Davis and Cousins somehow nullify eachother, Sacramento has other options, the Pelicans do not.
Sacramento is clearly the better team here, they get back Collison which will be a boost and the circumstances favor them a lot ahead of this match. I think the point spread should be higher than 6 points. One reason for which it is so low may be the fact that Pelicans won 6 straight over the Kings. That`s worth noting, but I don`t think it is so important.
My tip on this NBA encounter is Sacramento Kings to cover the 6 point handicap. Prediction: Sacramento Kings – New Orleans Pelicans 110 – 95.
Pick: Sacramento Kings -6
Odds: 1.91 @ 1xBet
Stake: 9
Possible profit: 7.28 8.19
Event date: 9 November
This bet was posted with a stake of 9 units.
I initially set the possible profit at 7.28 units
This is because I copy-pasted the bet conclusions from a previous pick and forgot to change the profit. It was a pick with 8 units and 1.91 odds, I changed the stakes, the bookie, the date, but forgot to change the possible profit.
The real profit is 8.19 units
Unfortunately we don`t have a database for editor’s picks like we have for the tipsters so I have no proof, you just have to take my word for it.
I hope you can see that I would have no reason to draw attention to this (nobody would have noticed) for a 0.9 units difference in profit. I just want to be transparent.
