Sam Querrey and Kevin Anderson will meet in the Wimbledon 4th round, with both competitors playing good tennis so far at the English Grand Slam.
Querrey is on the back of an impressive 5 sets win against Tsonga, after previously taking care of Basilashvili (3-1) and Fabbiano (3-0). His previous results on grass this season are a first round exit in Eastbourne (lost to Medvedev) and a quarterfinal showing at Queens (def. Thompson, lost to Muller). The Big serving American is obviously a very good player on grass and he will fancy his chances against the fellow big serving Anderson.
Kevin Anderson played some good tennis himself last week, defeating Verdasco, Seppi and Bemelmans, losing a single set along the way. He actually won the last 9 sets he played and it`s fair to say that this might be the best tennis he played all season, after a rather disappointing start to the year, when he was dealing with injuries.
Bet on Querrey vs Anderson and claim your 100% (100 Eur) bonus at Ohmbet now!Querrey leads the H2H 8-5 (1-0 on grass), but the two players have not met since 2015. Both are big servers and both are very good on grass, so it`s hard to say anybody holds a matchup advantage, despite Querrey leading the Head 2 Head.
It`s fair to expect a few tiebreaks here between two players with very strong serves, and who are also both in solid form. Chances are there will be very few break points, with each player dominating on his own serve. I think the best chances for a tiebreak are in the first set, when Querrey and Anderson will not have a good feel of the opponent serve, will try to calibrate their gameplan and play it safe (holding serve).
In the 13 H2H meetings there have been 8 first set tiebreaks (including in each of the last 3)! While it`s true that Querrey only played two tiebreaks so far at Wimbledon, the matchup with Anderson will be completely different. Anderson played 5 tiebreaks in his 3 matches.
Given stats and common sense, it`s hard to argue against the fact that a first set tiebreak has at least 50% chances to occur here. Personally I think it`s more likely for a tiebreak to happen than not to happen, but no matter how you spin it, odds above 2.00 look like value on this bet.
My tip is a first set tiebreak to occur. Looks like a simple and logical choice as far as I`m concerned. Prediction: Sam Querrey – Kevin Anderson 7-6 6-7 4-6 7-6 6-4.
