Sampdoria will host Sassuolo on Sunday in the Italian Serie A, a do or die game for the hosts.
Sampdoria is a team that recently changed their coach. They have Montella now, a Samp legend. They also have pressure. Pressure to perform after keeping most of their stars, Eder and Muriel included but failing to keep their coach. In my opinion, Zenga was a bad choice, and they should be better now with Montella. However, results do not agree with me. 1-0 and 4-1 losses, away to Udinese and Milan have made life hard for Montella, however the game vs Sassuolo is the perfect opportunity to bounce back.

The guests are an interesting team. Last year they relied on 3 players, Berardi, Zaza and Sansone. However this year it’s different. They sold Zaza, keep Sansone on the bench and had Berardi injured and suspended for several games but still managed to play well. However, not as well as last season. Now they will miss Berardi again, suspended. Sansone will start, according to Gazzeta dello Sport.
You know what the problem with Sassuolo is? They are doing better than expected and have lost motivation. The coach will 90% leave at the end of the season, Berardi will leave also, Sansone is looking for a way out too, and the other players are well organized but without much quality. Why should they die on the field in this game? Meanwhile, Sampdoria has everything to play for.
Sampdoria come after 5 matches without a win, including 3 losses in the last 3 games. They are desperate. No important missings for Samp. Eder and Muriel are brilliant, and they should be enough for a positive result, a narrow win vs Sassuolo in my opinion. My prediction is Sampdoria to win. Good luck.
