FC Sevilla will be confident of advancing to the Europa League semifinals, having won the first leg 2-1 at San Mames in Bilbao. However, the visitors will come to Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan knowing they have nothing to lose.
Sevilla’s first leg victory was a bit surprising considering their shaky form, but especially looking at their previous results on the road in 2015 / 2016. It was only the 4th road win of the season for Sevilla in all competitions and the FIRST in any competition outside Copa Del Rey. Sevilla is clearly in the mood of breaking runs, as they did it in the last home match as well – losing 1-2 to Real Sociedad after an incredible streak of 17 straight wins at Sanchez Pizjuan. Sevilla has lost 3 of the last 4 matches, including 1-2 at Valencia over the weekend.
The visitors will not be happy with the first leg result, as it was a close match, they had the lead and eventually lost it via an 83rd mintue goal. It was a close game with Bilbao as the slightly better team and the fair result would have been a draw. Athletic Bilbao is not playing well either recently and their 1-0 home win over Rayo Vallecano a few days ago was only their first victory in 5 matches.

Team news & lineups:
Tremoulinas and Adreolli will not be in Sevilla’s lineup, while Carrico is a doubt. The visitors won`t be able to count on Merino, Laporte and Williams.
FC Sevilla: Soria – Coke, Rami, Kolodziejczak, Escudero – NβZonzi, Krychowiak – Vitolo, Banega, Krohn-Dehli – Gameiro
Athletic Bilbao: Herrerin – Marcos, Gurpegi, Etxeita, Balenziaga – San Jose, Benat – Eraso, Raul Garcia, Iker Muniain – Aduriz
Sevilla is not playing its best football right now, but the team is not playing bad either. Some of the recent results have been unlucky, though their bad luck evened out against Bilbao, where fortune was a bit on their side. Sevilla will definitely be happy to return at home, where they have been so strong this season – even if they lost their last home match against Sociedad.
Nevertheless, you can’t really bet on Sevilla to win considering their recent results and the average odds – especially as they can easily qualify with a draw. On the other side, seeing Bilbao claim a road win or a surprise qualification seems very unlikely. They are playing worse than Sevilla and both these teams depend big time on home court advantage. If Athletic Club could not do it in the comfort of San Mames, they will probably not be able to do it on the road.
I fancy a draw here, but I don`t want to lose the bet if Sevilla wins – which can definitely happen considering their form at home. As such, my tip is Draw – Sevilla win no bet. It`s a bet on the draw, but with very low risky of losing. Prediction: FC Sevilla – Athletic Bilbao 1-1.
