I am a big fan of Italian football. I fully agree with the people that say Italian football is in a big decline, it is, especially financially. Berlusconi has many problems, Morratti sold Inter to Thohir, but tactically, Italian football is still better than British football. Coaches Sam Allardyce, Steve Bruce, Paul Lambert or Tony Pulis can not compare to Montella, Gasperini, Iachini or others like them.

Tottenham look pretty good, they are maybe a little better than Fiorentina if you take them player by player, but to me, it seems Spurs is pretty disorganised. They do not have great characters, players with experience in their team. They have the excellent Harry Kane, Fiorentina’s strikers are very poor compared to him, but i think overall Fiorentina looks more like a team than Tottenham does. Maybe it’s because Montella is working in Florence for a couple of years while Pochettino is in his first year in London which can be a handicap. I don’t know. But it’s clear for me that Fiorentina is the more solid side. I see a very close game, 1-1 or 0-1 being the most probable score.
And there is also the aspect of motivation.
Tottenham gives 100% on their own field but their might be some rotations in the lineup considering their main objective remains that 4th place that leads to CL qualfication. Of course, from this season the winner of the Europa League gains qualification to the CL group stages, but it’s pretty unlikely that Spurs will win the EL. Fiorentina will probably field the best lineup.
Fiorentina +0.5 handicap is my bet for tonight and I will stake my classic 8 united on this prediction.
