Hungarian side Videoton will aim to protect a 1-0 first leg lead against Welsh champions The New Saints, as the two sides square off in the Champions League qualifying round second leg.
Videoton dominated the domestic league last season, posting by far the best offense but also the best defense in Hungary. They started off with a loss this season, but they were probably thinking more about Champions League and are sure to recover as the league progresses. Videoton will hope to finally make some impact in Europe, they have a good side and it surely is their best chance after decades of European misery.

TNS (who is still in pre-season) won the treble last season in Wales and the way they played was better than in the last years, when they also won most of the domestic trophies. Many were saying that this is the best TNS team in a very long time and they might just be right – particularly their offense being very strong. However, the level of football in Wales is just not cutting it on the European stage and after losing the first leg, The New Saints look set for another early exit – despite the fact that they were competitive in that match.
Both teams played pretty well in the first leg and it was an enjoyable game. I reckon this time around we will see much more than 1 goal. Both sides are very strong offensively and TNS must open up a bit today, as opposed to the first leg when they tried to get a draw and keep a clean sheet. With extra spaces to exploit, Videoton has good chances to score 2 or 3 goals today, but I can also see the Welsh side banging in a consolation goal.
