The Constanta team is in bad form – only 1 win in last 8 games and 3 defeats in the last 5 games. They just lost 2-0 against Astra last round. They defended pretty well in that game versus a strong opponent but still came up clearly short at the end.
Concordia Chiajna is the story of the season in Romanian football. They were relegated from the Liga 1 but got back in the top football tier after a decision by TAS. But two rounds already were elapsed, so Chiajna entered in full season with no preparation and a squad built for Liga 2. Even so, Concordia is now on 10th place with 2 games in hand and they actually were unlucky not to be higher – with some bad luck and bad referee decisions against them. Chiajna place excellent football with some young players and good foreign ones, including 2-3 guys that are top class for the Liga 1 level. Chiajna is in pretty good form: won 3 out of the last 5 games, but lost last round against Vaslui. Still, Vaslui is a very strong team in Romania.

I am very much liking Chiajna for this game. I would like them to win even on the road at these odds against poor Viitorul, but considering the game is actually played in Chiajna on their own stadium ( and 300+ kilometers from Constanta) makes this a clear value bet with also big chances for a winner. Note that the pitch will be in poor condition.
Chiajna is the better team by far, playing at a different level from Viitorul this season. There is a quality difference here, and also a difference in form. Chiajna is almost at full strength with only Cosereanu unavailable + Rosu doubtful (Viitorul with full squad), so I find the odds totally unjustified. Concordia will be motivated after losing to Vaslui last round so I see them getting a win against their out of sorts opponents. I was thinking about a 0.25 asian handicap on Chiajna, or maybe +0.5 handicap, but in the end I think they will take this and I will stay with the best value – Chiajna to win. Concordia is healthy, plays at home against a clearly worse opponent, in worse form. Of course Viitorul is also accustomed to the stadium this season, but you can still see very good value in these odds. My pick is Viitorul Constanta – Concordia Chiajna 1-2. My personal input is that Chiajna to win is worth taking with big stakes, considering the odds set by the bookmakers, but also the chances for the bet to be won.
