Yeovil – Leicester

Yeovil Town - Leicester City betting previewPretty unbalanced game here on paper with Leicester being a strong favorite to win, but the question is if the pre-match calculations will also be valid at the end of the game.

Yeovil is in a really bad spot right now, winning only 1 out of 9 Championship games, and their lone win was in the opening round. The hosts lost 2 out of the last 7 league games and are on a nine match winless run in all competition. Yeovil was not expected to do much this season, but even for them a start like this is very disappointing. To top off the horrific stats, Yeovil has lost all 4 home games so far. The Glovers at least got an important 1-1 draw at relegation rivals Bolton last round.

Meanwhile, Leicester are considered to be the one of the best teams in the league and they can`t be too disappointed with their current form. The visitors are on the 3rd place in the standings with 20 points, just three points behind the 1st spot. Leicester are in great form, they won 3 out of the last 4 in the league, also getting a respectable draw at Blackpool to complete this 4 match undefeated streak. They did look a little shaky in the last round though, only winning 2-1 against bottom placed Barnsley at home.

Team news & line-ups

Fontaine and Stech will not play for Yeovil, while captain Mcallister is questionable. The hosts will welcome back Byron Webster. Leicester has no new injuries or suspensions and will probably field the same first eleven as the one that defeated Barnsley 2-1 last round.

Yeovil: Hennessey – Ayling, Webster, Seabourne, McAllister – Grant, Upson, Edwards, Ralls – Madden, Williams

Leicester: Schmeichel – De Laet, Morgan, Moore, Konchesky – Knockaert, Drinkwater, King, Dyer – Nugent, Vardy

Given the form in which the two teams are right now and the fact that Yeovil plays horrible at home, an upset does not look likely. Leicester are on top of their game at the moment and they should dispatch struggling Yeovil today, especially since they have an almost full squad at their disposal. The only valid argument for Yeovil to get something from this game is that they got a 1-1 draw at Bolton last round, while Leicester struggled a little bit to beat lowly Barnsley. For me, that is not enough, so my tip here is 2-1 or 2-0 for the visiting side.
