Slovan Bratislava was really poor against BATE Borisov in the Champions League playoff, being totally outplayed and the 1-4 aggregate does not even tell the whole story (and we saw BATE losing 6-0 to Porto yesterday). It is obvious that the Slovakian Champions have lost quality compared to last year and they are not in form … they even lost 2 out of the last 3 games in Slovakia, including 0-3 at Zilina a couple of days ago.
The Slovakians are looking really poor right now and playing on the road vs. a better team in better form will not be easy at all … especially considering Slovan has been very poor away from home lately and Young Boys are known to make good matches at home in Europe, and are also undefeated at home in Switzerland (managed to beat Grasshoppers 4-1). Young Boys will hold the ball, dominate the game and I expect that the speed of their offensive players will get the best of the slow Bratislava defenders. It won’t be a surprise for me if Young Boys win in a similar fashion to what Zilina did to Slovan. My tip is Young Boys to win, covering the -1 asian handicap. I agree -1,25 handicap is a bit of a risk but at such high odds it is worth a bet with serious stakes in my opinion. Correct score prediction: Young Boys – Slovan Bratislava 3-0.
