He has been here both in terms of marathon matches and in terms of resuming play overnight in a tight 5th set – this could be a key advantage for him, as he knows exactly what to do. He was generally successful in these circumstances. Additionally, Isner has the more powerful serve to get him out of trouble, which is crucial in these circumstances.
