Nancy – Clermont

Nancy Clermont betting previewLigue 2 football between Nancy and Clermont Foot.

Nancy is a team i like and i will insist betting on them because i think it’s a bad idea to stop betting on a team just because they disappointed you once (or twice in this case). Nancy lost 2-0 in Ajaccio in a game i would have expected to finish at least draw, if not win for Nancy. However the Corsicans started strong, 2-0 after 35 minutes and after that they parked the bus. Now Nancy face one of the struggling sides, namely Clermont Foot.

Clermont are sitting just above the relegation zone. They have many problems but their main problem is getting some consistence, winning 2 games in a row. They have a woman coach which is a big “minus” in my evaluation. I think it’s hard for young athletes to respect and listen to a woman of 40 years old (that looks a lot younger by the way). Last week Clermont managed a 2-2 draw vs another struggling side, Tours.

This bet has 3 reasons behind it. The first one is the big difference in quality. The difference between Nancy and Clermont is not as big as the difference between Ligue 1 sides, but there still is one. The second reason is the coach. Pablo Correa of Nancy managed to promote with them before and is one of the best coaches of this division, while Clermont’s woman coach is in her first season as the coach of a senior men’s football team. Last but not least, the home advantage is very important in Ligue 2, almost as important as in other well-known league (Greece,Argentina).

My bet is Nancy to win with -0.75 asian handicap, odds 2.01 at Pinnacle, staking 8 units flat stake on this prediction as usual. Good luck!

Pick: Nancy (-0,75 Asian Handicap)
Odds: 2.01 @ Pinnacle
Stake: 8
Possible profit: 8.08
Event date: 19 December
