Alexander Kristoff is one of the most dominant riders I have ever seen in my entire life. He is just amazing because he has outstanding stamina and can follow almost any attack but he also is one of the best sprinters in the world. This 2 qualities will be important in this race because despite the fact we will most likely see a bunch sprint riders will be pretty tired at the finish after 203 kilometers raced at a high pace.
Kristoff start of the season was very strong. He won 3/4 sprint stages in Qatar and then won both sprint stages in Oman. He was very impressing in Qatar where he was always in the front group despite the strong winds.
Kristoff was second here last year. He was beaten by Mark Cavendish who will not participate this time.
Kristoff was the guy with the most wins last season. He had no less than 20 wins and some were in very important races. His most important one was in a cobbled monument Tour of Flanders.
Kristoff have one of the best teams in this race. He has Kuznetzov, Haller and Morkov , 3 guys that were very good in Qatar.
Kristoff was a favorite in today race Omloop Het but as I predicted in a tip on another site he decided to save his energy for KBK. He finished 101 there but I'm sure he will be in top condition tomorrow.
