Englishman James Ward, a medium level player at best, always come up big in the grass court season, but this year he blew it up completely with some very poor performances. Now Ward goes to Colombia to play on his weakest surface, clay, and this is probably the situation in which he is the least dangerous.
Can't see Ward playing good tennis on clay in South America especially after he did not even compete well on grass. James ever so slightly edged an anonymous Gonzalez in his sole qualifying match in Colombia with tiebreaker in the deciding set.
Ward does not meed a quality player today in the last qualifying round, but Arevalo is still an upgrade compared to his last opponent, the guy can play on clay and already has 2 wins under his belt in Bogota. Not to mention he is a Central American and he likes the surface.
Ward can lose this without question, odds of 1.25 for him to win are pure rubbish and the value on Arevalo is worth backing.
