Following Rangers' 3-1 victory over Dumbarton last round, Hibs see themselves 4 points behind the second place with two rounds to go. Hibs have a game in hand though and three points today would see them approach the last two rounds with just 1 point behind Rangers.
Hearts are champions since many rounds ago and the second place is the big prize of this seasons' end. It allows you to go straight into the playoff semifinals as opposed to playing a tiebreaker quarterfinal against the 4th place. Naturally Hibs wants to avoid that, go straight to the semis and than hopefully face the Premiership's 11th place in the final to decide who plays top level football next season.
Livingston are having their own fight these days, going neck and neck with Alloa Athletic and Cowdenbeath in a race to avoid the drop. The Lions are dead last, three points behind Alloa Athletic, but they have this game in hand. The home side can be a dangerous bunch as seen in their 1-1 draw with Rangers two weeks ago. The Lions should not be underestimated.
Don't expect Livingston to roll over and hand Hibs the win, but in the end Hibernian will have too much for the Lions. Hibs are such a good side this season, I believe they are better than Rangers and it would be really strange if they were to lose the second place hopes against a side like Livingston, which lacks the quality to compete in this league. I highly fancy an away win.
