The good lads at Standard did not have the season they expected, but despite the #5 placement they are only 4 points clear of the second place and still have an outside chance for the title. Obviously this is a must win game for Standard and a massive chance with Anderlecht and Club Brugge involved in European Competitions.
Standard posted awful stats at home this season, 5-2-5, absolutely unforgivable and this will probably cost them the title. Waasland-Beveren is an honest side, only 2 points above the drop, trying to survive the best way they can.
There is a lot of pressure on Standard to deliver and the home team did not look quite up to the task so far. Beveren will put up a fight, playing at the max of their capabilities and that will be enough IMO to get even a draw against an under pressure and underperforming Standard Liege.
Betting on Standard at 1.25 is crazy IMO.
