Canada - Romania 🎾

Ok so this month has so far been a disaster for me for which I apologize but there is nothing to do but push forward so that's what I'm trying to do with these matches.

First of all, I don't understand this odd. Canada has one player, Eugenie Bouchard in the top 100, it's true she is a top 10 player but it is very hard to think that she can actually win this game by herself. Her form has been horrible lately, her game just isn't what it should be. She makes mistakes, a lot of unforced error and it will be difficult for her to get singles wins against two players that I actually think are competitive at the moment, Irina Begu and Alexandra Dulgheru. The other player for the singles competition for Canada is Francoise Abanda ranked 260 in the world. She is a young talent, used to be number 4 in the world in juniors, but that matters little now. She is a strong player that looks for decisive shots. She just does not have the experience to play at this level competitively. I can't say that she does not have any chance to win but against players with a lot more experience and with a lot of pressure on her shoulders it will be hard.
Romania is without two key players Simona Halep and Monica Niculescu, the best single player and best double specialist. Not so good when you say it like that. But the truth is Romania still has a decent squad. Irina Begu is number 33 in the world and will play first against Abanda, a game that she should win. The second player is Alexandra Dulgheru that has a nice story. She sed to be a top 30 player but injury forced her to take a break from tennis but now she seems to be back to old form. Even if she lost a couple of matches she proved this year that she can actually play with good opponents with a chance. I remember the games against Cornet and Wozniacky where she played very well. She definitely has the upper hand over Abanda and I think she can even produce a good match against Bouchard.

Even if we assume Bouchard takes both singles matches and the Roumanians win two points against Abanda (basically no surprises) that it will all come to the doubles, a dice roll. The 2.37 odd has value in my opinion and Romania can get a surprise here. My prediction 3-1 Romania.
